and have ever wondered if you have what it takes to become a church bell ringer, then please read on.  If you are further afield in Herefordshire do look at the very good Hereford Diocesan Guild of Bellringers site http://www.hdgb.org

We hold practice sessions most weeks at the different towers where we learn and improve together. You can hear us ringing and practicing here  You would be most welcome to come along and join us.  We run "accelerated learning courses" once or twice a year according to demand.  If you think you and some friends might be interested get in touch.

Look at the tower's page to find details of when we are ringing, who to contact for more information and how to join us.

The Central Council of Church Bell Ringers say "if you can ride a bicycle you can ring!"

People take up ringing for many different reasons:
  • As a contribution to church life
  • For exercise (although it doesn't have to be strenuous)
  • As a sociable activity
  • The mental challenge
You can learn to ring at almost any age. There is no upper or lower limit, you just need a moderate level of fitness. Children will find ringing easier if they wait until 10-12 years old when they have the strength and motor control to comfortably give a steady, straight pull of the rope. Many people take up ringing in retirement. Of course those in between are most welcome too!
